Ozzfest St. Louis, July 15, 2006

I really do not know where to begin. So I think I will just start with
the scroll and book presentation. Which pictures of them finished,
will follow.

**OH. There were about 4 other Disturbed Ones there I had met. Rosa a.k.a. Fragmented_Soul being one of them. One of our own felt bad, because he didn't get around to sending his info for the scroll, so I let him sign it (which was difficult w/ a basic pen on Egyptian Papyrus) there, before the guys went to the FYE tent.**
As I approached them, a guy standing there said I could only have two items to have signed. I told him I wasn't thereto have anything signed, in fact I am giving them something. So he asked, "Oh. Then what is this all about?" I explained a little, then walked to David sitting at the table. Wow...ok*ahem* (and no ladies...not that kinda *ahem* can't explain) then told them (basically) I didn't want anything from them, but instead, to give them something. Put the scroll andbook on the table before David, and told them what it was, what we did, as well as what initially inspired all of it.

I cannot tell you enough how their own expressions made me feel. Their smiles, so pleasing to the eye! So worth more than anything materialistic one could ever receive. You all should be honored as well. I know I am still! David said thank you. And asked, "Do you want a picture of or with anyone?" In the stupified moment I was in myself, I accepted. Got hugs. And we all had a picture taken together. So sweet!

They all thanked me, and smiled, as I was leaving. Hand shakes. They really do know how to make people feel comfortable, and welcome. They care about people so much. You can feel and see it.

I didn't listen to the bands much on Second Stage. The heat was just too much to stand around. Seemed the more we moved, the less the heat would win out. But the sun...the sun was another story altogether. See, I do not watch news media much, unless I feel compelled too, and I did NOT know what the temp was going to be! It turned out to be 105 degrees. And from what the news said, that was NOT just the heat index! Which was 100+ on it's own.

To much surprise, Dragonforce rocked! They are from the U.K. They are very interactive with the crowd. And with one another! Damn, you really should check out their website, and see if they put up any footage. At one point, they gathered around eachother, and played off of eachother's instruments (aside from the drummer). But I still feel their music resembles the background music in an animé animated film.

Lacuna Coil was next. Now I've heard their music before. Don't know a whole lot about them, but they kicked ass! Hatebreed brought on alot of moshing. Threw some of their sticks, picks, and water bottles out to the crowd. Which a lot of the bands did. Especially A7X, who moreso tried to keep the crowd wet, by emptying their water bottles over us. Disturbed followed. But I choose to save the best for last. For after them, was SOAD! Very great visual graphics on screen, and also...great crowd interaction.

Anywho. Aside from all the walking around, and sun cooking us all alive throughout the day. Disturbed made everything worth it. The anticipation, as they set up on stage. Then, to make things more mysterious, they brought up a little surprise. To keep us more in suspense, before the curtain was dropped to an amazing entrance! Wala! We are instantly greeted with a BAM! First song, Guarded. Now please bear with me. I do not remember the whole set list in order. But I loved it! Disturbed's crowd interaction, to me, plays an important message to the mind, soul and body. I literally felt vertigo from all the adrenaline, which I saved up just for this moment. I was amped through and through! Dan kneeled down, tearing it up on his guitar, sweatin a downpour with the rest of them. Someone, give that man a Klondike Bar! He was smokin'!

The way the stage props were set up, displayed a very touching message, most with an unopened mind, wouldn't quite grasp unless one spelled it out for them. Behind Mike (who's heart and soul beat away through my soul), was part of the TTF album cover...of course. Only they could walk up on it! Both Dan & John walked up there while playing, behind and above Mikey. David, raising his arms, to get the crowd to release their energy, their voices, their fists! There was a moment when David alone stood up there, behind and above Mikey, slowly raising his arms up. And a moment as David faced away from the audience, in front of Mikey, and says, "If you have lighters, now is a good time to use them." And then began, Overburdened.

Honestly, I was not sweating much, until they were revealed on stage, and I exploded with energy eminating from them, reflecting back what they offered! I welcomed every moment, and will again, and again.

Believe you me, I thought I was Disturbed before...Now, I am more Disturbed then I ever was.

THANK YOU DISTURBED!!

the time zone.

Welcome to the Disturbed Chronicles

For all of my fellow Disturbed Ones who know,
there need be no introductions. For those who
are not aware, we must spread the sickness to.

So as you see, I have created this blog for the
soul purpose of such. To spread the sickness of
the greatest band of the Millenium! Haters are
not really welcome.

To your right, you will see the links with the
name of each band member. Click on those
to direct you to that section of the blog, so
you may type a little somethin' somethin'
to them. Links to their official realm on the
net are also included. This blog is NOT
an official DISTURBED blog.

There is NO guarantee the band will reply.
But it is nice to be able to write something to them,
with the hopes that MAYBE one day they would scurry
across the net, just to read what you have to say
to/about them.

Be respectful. After all, they are respectful to you.
Entertaining you and sharing their talents, for
your ears to bleed to. All inappropriate content WILL
be removed without question or further warning. This
is that warning without question.

The expectations and stipulations herein, are subject
to alter at any given time.

Thank you, and have fun!
